Ben, our OPN Program Assistant, is a native of Southern Oregon. He is deeply connected to the land here in Oregon. Growing up, volunteering countless hours at the Josephine County Food Bank, he developed a passion for providing quality food to those who need it most. After a short stint in the midwest where he studied Recreation and Parks at Central Michigan University, he once again found himself drawn back to the “best coast”. Working on Vashon Island in Washington as the manager for a small kayaking and cycling company, he continued volunteering for food banks in the area, while also advocating for local farms as the island continued to grow in tourist popularity. Ben is pursuing his Masters in Nonprofit Management with a specialization in Food Studies from the University of Oregon. He is very excited to be a part of the FOFF team in support of our local farmers.
