Phillips Family Farm is a diversified, pasture-based, family farm located between Portland and Salem in the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. We offer premium raw milk, pastured eggs, and a variety of seasonally available pork and beef shares. Our animals are rotationally grazed on pasture 365 days a year. Great attention goes into the care and quality of life for all our livestock.

Grazing, Pasture and Nutrient Management Practices: 

Our animals have access to pasture 365 days/year.

Hogs and chickens are rotationally grazed using electric fencing to create small paddocks to allow pastures to rest. Cattle are rotationally grazed in existing, hard fenced paddocks and electric tape reels.

We have not added any commercial fertilizers or other amendments to our soil since we purchased the farm in 2003.

We have not used any chemical means of insect or pest management. I do set up fly traps during the heaviest season.

Since our animals are pastured, most manure is allowed to compost in the pasture. Manure that is removed from bedding areas is moved to one of many composters we have or directly added to an area of our garden to compost.

Environmental Conservation:

We maintain a small section of our garden for growing beneficial bug mixture and have seen a huge increase in aphid-eating insects and birds since doing so.

Where Products are Available:

Raw milk and eggs are available in our on-site farm store. Beef Shares are sold by 1/4, 1/2 or whole.
 Pork Shares are sold by 1/2 or whole
