FoFF is hiring two legislative session contract or

FoFF is hiring two legislative session contract organizers!

FoFF is gearing up for the 2025 Legislative Session and planning to get our farmers and communities involved. Passing legislation is about having well reasoned policies, active relationships with lawmakers and showing up in the right place, at the right time, with the right messenger to show the impact of policy in real life. To make these plans a reality, we are hiring two contract organizers across the state to get the word out on our policies, rally folks together for our Small Farms Mean Business gathering in Salem on March 4, 2025, and make sure legislators hear from the people in their district and the farmers who helped us create these policies.

These contract organizing positions will help educate their communities on the policies that FoFF is supporting this upcoming session including adding 2 FTE Inspectors to the State Meat Inspection Program to expand meat processing capacity around the state, reforming Oregon’s domestic exempt well law, renewing disaster resilience grant program (psst round two is open now until January 17th!), Double Up Food Bucks, curbing the expansion of factory farms, and more!
