OFL MId- and South Willamette Valley Regional Hub Application Deadline

April 24, 2023

Friends of Family Farmers is excited to announce an expansion of our popular Navigate program! Navigate, a program of Oregon Farm Link, supports Oregon farmers in finding land to grow their farm business. The NEW Willamette Valley Regional Hub serves eligible land seekers in the mid- and south Willamette Valley with one-on-one technical assistance in their farmland search. The hub model builds on our current Navigate program which serves Black, Indigenous and Person of Color (BIPOC) land seekers statewide; and, it extends services to eligible farmers of any ethnicity located within the mid- and south Willamette Valley.

If you or someone you know is looking for land to grow on in the coming year, visit  our Navigate website  to learn more. Our staff Navigators can assist with everything from refining farm goals and developing a search plan, to navigating lease templates and facilitating meetings with potential landowners. Our website also offers an on-line platform and curated resources for all farmers to find land to launch or expand their businesses.

The Willamette Valley Regional Hub is currently accepting a first round of land seeker applications through April 24, 2023. Applicants for the Willamette Valley hub should have a minimum of a combined two years farming and farm or business management experience, and be looking for land in the mid- or south Willamette Valley. Applicants should further have a solid vision for their farm and be prepared to lease or own farmland within the next year. Spaces are limited and we encourage land seekers to apply early! BIPOC farmers who live anywhere in the state of Oregon can apply on an ongoing basis to receive Navigator support in their farmland search.

For more information about the Willamette Valley Regional Hub, reach out to the Mid- and South Willamette Valley Farmland Navigator Christina Bentrup at christina@friendsoffamilyfarmers.org, 541-525-0077.
