Muckboots in the Capitol: Disaster Resilience Grant Program

Oregon’s producers now consistently endure natural disasters including extreme heat and drought which are threatening their viability. FoFF is proud to support provisions that strengthen our local food system in the face of the ongoing drought and other climate driven challenges. In August 2023, the Oregon Legislature allocated $2.65 million to support building on-farm disaster resilience for small and underserved farmers and ranchers across Oregon. Along with OCFSN, we are building off the successful 2022 Disaster Relief Grant Program with this new state funding and are currently in the development stage of this exciting new grant program. Join us on October 30th from 12-1pm for our next Lunch and Learn information session on the Disaster Resilience Grant Program and find out who qualifies, the timeline, some of the ways farmers can use the funding, along with other important details of this grant fund program.
