Friends of Family Farmers partners with Rogue Farm Corps and Oregon Agricultural Trust to protect Oregon farmland for future generations through the Transitioning Oregon’s Farmland program. The program provides beginning farmers with farm business guidance, tailored land access support, and options for transitioning farmers to keep their farmland in production.
Since 2022, Friends of Family Farmers (FoFF) has worked with Rogue Farm Corps (RFC) and Oregon Agricultural Trust (OAT) to create the Transitioning Oregon’s Farmland program. The statewide program aims to help beginning farmers and ranchers, focusing on underserved and underrepresented communities, to start a successful farm operation from planning through finding land and supporting their operation. FoFF’s Navigate Program helps farmers and ranchers find land through free 1-on-1 technical assistance for land access search support. RFC’s Changing Hands Workshop brings landholders and landseekers together for training and facilitated networking. OAT’s Landholder Education covers succession planning and easements for landowners and service providers. Together, we can help grow the success of Oregon’s next generation of family farmers!
